Dental chips & cracks
More than a cosmetic issue
Most people get a tooth cracked or chipped at least once in their lifetime. For many, cracks and chips occur because their bite is not stable, which forces them to adapt the jaw to accommodate the teeth, resulting in facial pain as well as worn, broken, or loose teeth. Other causes of chips and cracks include age, injuries, bruxism, underlying cavities, or previous dental work.
Although frequent, these types of issues need to be addressed as soon as possible to prevent other problems, such as tooth sensitivity, cavities, and infection. Left untreated, chips and cracks can not only affect your smile’s appearance but also leave the inner tissues and nerves of your tooth exposed to bacteria, which can lead to serious complications.
Our Logan Square chipped tooth repair dentists are here to help you restore your smile. Book an appointment with Dr. Cho or Dr. Moon today!
Treating chipped and cracked teeth
Smile with confidence!
When you visit us with a chipped or cracked tooth, one of our skilled dentists will examine your mouth and recommend the best treatment option for you. Depending on the extent of the damage, they may recommend:
- Bonding: A composite resin material that helps cover chips and cracks.
- Veneers: Placed over your tooth’s surface, they are designed to cover the front of your tooth.
- Crowns: If your tooth is severely damaged or broken, you may need a crown to be placed on top of it to restore its appearance and function.
- Fillings: When the damaged tooth has a cavity, this is usually the best option.
Dental Insurance & Financing
“Does dental insurance pay for treatment?”
We are in-network with most major PPO insurance providers. A portion of your treatment may be covered depending on the type of procedure you need and your insurance plan. Our front-desk team will check your benefits and estimate your out-of-pocket expenses.
If you are not insured, don’t worry. Our practices accept many payment methods. As about our cash prices!
If you don’t have insurance, don’t worry. We offer flexible payment options and cash prices for procedures.
